Sierra Vista has a burgeoning locavore community. One of the best displays of this is the Sierra Vista Community Market: a market dedicated to sharing local foods, treats and handmade goods. Every Saturday year-round from 10AM to 2PM (hours vary depending upon the season) the Sierra Vista Community Market sets up shop . It is important to note the Community Market is separate from the farmer’s market. The Community Market is located at 240 North Highway Bypass next to the SVUCC Church. The Farmer’s Market has moved this past year to Veteran’s Park. Although they are located separately, the markets still work together.
The Community Market hosts local vendors, makers and community members ready and willing to share information and products from their businesses. The Community Market is the perfect place to educate yourself on local business owners, enjoy all types of entertainment and have a delicious lunch with your family and friends. Entertainment includes Don Van Palta, Pat Panther and The Simmons Family.
