If so, you won’t want to miss this year’s annual Sierra Vista Fun Festival, hosted by Fort Huachuca Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation. Take the Kids out for a Day of Fun and Excitement
Are you ready to get out for a weekend of fun and excitement? The festival kicks off on Friday, September 26th at 4:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Park in Sierra Vista, and continues Saturday from noon to 11 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. The festival is the perfect way to get the kids out for a weekend of live music, activities and fun while adults can also spend some time browsing through the wares of various craft and novelty vendors that will have tables set up. And of course, people of all ages can experience the excitement of the many carnival rides that will be set up.
It’s not every day that entertainment like this comes to Sierra Vista so if you’re going to be around the weekend of September 26-28 you should bring the family down to Veterans Memorial Park and join in the fun!
Where to Get Your Carnival Ride Tickets
You’ll need to purchase tickets if you plan on having some fun on the carnival rides, and you have a number of options. You can buy 10 individual tickets in advance for $9, a savings over the on-site price of $12 that you’ll pay at the carnival. If you’re the type that just can’t get enough, you can get an all-day wristband for $22 per day in advance or $25 at the carnival which will allow you unlimited riding privileges on any of the carnival’s rides for the entire day.
If you want to get your tickets in advance, you can find them at Murr Community Center or Thunder Mountain Activity Center in Fort Huachuca or at Safeway or Ace Hardware in Sierra Vista.
Enjoy Musical Entertainment from Local Acts
Various local musical acts will be entertain Fun Festival attendees throughout the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so if you’re a music fan, be sure to get a good seat. As of this writing the festival organizers have yet to release the list of acts that will be performing, but you can bet on local musical favorites from Sierra Vista, Fort Huachuca and the surrounding area that will be suitable for a family audience.
